Second Two Weeks Of My Teaching Practice

 The second week of our Phase I teaching practice started from 11/12/2023- 12/12/2023 and 1/1/2024- 6/1/2024. As our college teachers instructed us to go to our college when the school students begin their Christmas examination and thus there came a gap between pur teaching practice. We were having classes at college as usual days.

     After the gap when we reached the school, the students were very energetic and they were very happy to receive us in their classes. They remembered us very well. That made us very happily.

     I had a very nice experience in these two weeks. I was able to complete one lesson and start another one during these days. I was able to make students study oriented and interested in attending the classes. I completed teaching 9 B students the lesson 'The Last Leaf' written by O. Henry. I discussed them with the questions given in the text book along with providing them with extra questions. All the practice questions were discussed in the class and I instructed the students to write down the answers of all the questions. Before leaving the class I ensured that they all are capable of writing their Christmas exams very well.

    In the next week, I started teaching 9 A students as per instruction of the school teacher. And Akhil was instructed to teach 9 B students. 9 A students were Malayalam medium students and it was little bit difficult for me to teach them during the first two days. Later I became good rapport with them. And I started them with teaching a new lesson ' The Trio' written by the famous Indian English writer R. K. Narayan. It was quiet interesting for the students to learn story. I taught them with new words, their meaning and the example sentences with those words. I think it will be challenge for teaching Malayalam medium students English. Anyway it was a nice week for me with good new experiences.
